Is the water loss a leak or evaporation?

If you suspect a leak, you should first  perform a Bucket Test. Evaporation in a bucket will be the same as evaporation in a pool. Measuring the two amounts of water lost over a 24-hour period will confirm if your pool/spa is truly leaking.
